Ali - Female, apricot dilute horsecoat. Ali came from a shelter in Waynesboro, PA in 1999.  She is now living a life of leisure in Harrisburg, PA.  Thank you so much Matthew and Mary for again offering another homeless Shar-Pei your love.

Alize - Hi, my name is Alize.  I am now resting comfortably at Operation Scarlet.  I was spending some time in boarding at the vet clinic where all the O.S. kids go for their exams and surgery.  In fact, I got to meet Trevor and Scooter who are still waiting patiently in boarding.  They are really nice guys.  We got to share our homeless stories.  Lucky for us that O.S. was notified or we would not be around anymore telling stories to each other.  Okay, now I will talk about me for a bit.  I am five years old and I am a female, fawn horsecoat.  I am very petite and people tell me I am sweet and very cute.  I came from a shelter in NYC.  My family dumped me at the shelter because I have a skin problem.  Well, duh, how about trying some medication before throwing me away?  I had a staph infection and I am responding nicely to a simple little pill that I take two times a day.  I am a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I like to play.  Well, I have really been bounced around quite a bit.  Within a month I lost my family, sat in a shelter in NYC, sat in a boarding kennel in NJ, transported to the O.S. vet clinic and now – FINALLY – I am at O.S. waiting patiently for a nice family to walk through the doors and say – “We want Alize”!  Boy, that will make all this waiting very worth while.  Oh, by the way, while I was hanging out in boarding at the vet clinic, Dr. Hall (we kids call him Dr. John) , the nice doctor who takes care of all the homeless Pei, spayed me and did entropion surgery to correct my eyelids.  Now, I am all fixed up with no place to go.  I am sitting right by the phone in hopes someone will call and ask for me.  Might that someone be you?  I love telling my story.  I love life and I love people.  I will really really love you if you give me a good home.  That is it for now.  See yaAlize
Althea - Female, fawn horsecoat. Althea came from a shelter in New Jersey in 2000. She is now living in Exton, PA. Thank you Irene for giving her a second chance
Andi - Male, sable horsecoat.  Andi was one of six puppies born at Operation Scarlet in February 1993.  Andi's mom came from a shelter in Luzerne, PA in 1993 and was very pregnant when she arrived.  Several days later Andi along with 5 littermates arrived.  Andi is living in Harrisburg, PA along with another Shar-Pei and several other canine friends.  Vicki you have been a great mom to Andi and all at O.S. thank you for adopting him.
Andre - Male, black brushcoat . Andre was an owner surrender and came to O.S. in 2001.  Andre is now enjoying a new life in Bechtelsville, PA with two other Shar-Pei, Sweet Pea and Sheena, who are also O.S. dogs.  Thank you so much Chris and John for again coming to Scarlet's home to save another Shar-Pei in need.
Angel -Female, black brushcoat.  Angel was a private surrender from Delaware and arrived at O.S. in 1997. Angel's owner was ill and could no longer care for her.  She is now living a great life in Horsham, PA.  Thank you Rob and Peg for coming to Angel's rescue and offering your home and your love to her.
Angel II - Hello, everyone. My name is Angel and I came from a shelter in Wellsboro, PA. I am a one year old, fawn brushcoat female. I am shy at first and prefer men. I am good with dogs and cats. I was surrendered to the shelter because my owners said I have allergies and they did not want to try to work with my problem. Medication does help with the itching and honestly my coat does not look bad at all. I hope some nice people will read this and say that they will give me a good home. I would love to be someone's "Guardian Angel".
Annabelle - Female, chocolate brushcoat. Annabelle came from a puppy mill in Michigan in 2001. She is now a very happy girl living in a wonderful home in Shippensburg, PA. I guess you could call it Shar-Pei heaven because she is with eight other adopted O.S. kids. Thank you Wil and Janice for again finding a special place in your hearts and home for sweet little Annabelle. You have made her a very happy Shar-Pei.
Annie II aka Annabelle II - Female, fawn brushcoat.  Annie came from a shelter in Harrisburg, PA in 2002.  She is now enjoying her "forever" home in Olney, MD.  Annie is so happy because she not only has a wonderful mom and dad, but a Shar-Pei friend, too, named Maximillian.  Thank you so much Jeanne and Brian for adding love and happiness to Annie's life.  Her gift to you will be everlasting love.
Apollo II - Male, red brushcoat. Apollo was rescued from a shelter in Philadelphia, PA in 2002. He is now enjoying a wonderful new life in Blackwood, NJ. Apollo also has a Shar-Pei friend in his new home who has become his best buddy. Thank you Tom and Robin for giving Apollo that much needed second chance at life. You have made him one happy boy.
Apricot - Hi. My name is Apricot. I am a very small female cream brushcoat. I am approximately one year old. I was a stray and came from a shelter in PA. I was one of three Shar-Pei that was rescued from the shelter. Shadow and Sara Lee were keeping me company until we were all gathered up by O.S. I am very playful and friendly. I would really enjoy children and I am also okay with other dogs. The rescue is a very nice place to stay temporarily but my wish is for a very nice family to adopt me so I have a loving "forever" home. I am a very good girl and I am ready to give lots of love to a family who will appreciate my devotion. Call and ask for Apricot. That would make my day!!

Auggie - Hi! My name is Auggie. I am a three year old, male, fawn brushcoat. I was brought to Operation Scarlet because my owner travels a lot and she also had trouble handling me. I am a pretty strong 60 pound boy. I am not a bad boy on leash, it is just that the nice lady that owned me is a senior citizen and cannot handle a dog of my strength. She loves me a lot. In fact, she cried when she said goodbye to me. I know she wants me to have a really good life and I do truly understand why she left me at the rescue. I am a very, very well behaved dog. I sit, lay down and offer a paw on command. I am not a high energy dog and like to just hang out with people. I am happiest when I am lying by your feet. If you are looking for a very well behaved, well mannered dog that wants to be your loyal friend and companion, please call O.S. and ask for me, Auggie. I really want to have a family again. I promise you will not be disappointed if you choose me.
Autumn - Hello. My name is Autumn. I was a stray and was rescued from a shelter in Pennsylvania. I am a two year old, female fawn horsecoat and I am very sweet. I like to take walks and I love to have people pet me. I also enjoy being around children. The only important thing missing in my life is a family who will love me and give me really good care. If I sound like the kind of dog you would like to have as a valued family member, please call the rescue and ask for me, Autumn.
Azura - Hello. My name is Azura.  I am between 1 and 2 years of age and I am a beautiful blue horsecoat.  I was abandoned by my family and tied to the door of a shelter in New Jersey.  I was very frightened and did not know what to do.  I thought I would always be with my family and I miss them very much.  I am a very shy and quiet little girl.  I am yearning to be loved and cared for again.  If you are looking for a sweet dog who is in need of love, please get in touch with Operation Scarlet and ask for Azura.
