Hannah aka Olivia - Female, apricot dilute brushcoat. Hannah was rescued from a shelter in PA in 2002. She is now getting lots of love in her new home in Allenwood, PA. Thank you Amy and Joe for giving Hannah that much needed second chance. She will always love you for coming to her rescue.
Harry Winston  - Blind male abandoned in Staten Island, now living his life out in New Jersey.
Henry II - Male, fawn horsecoat. He was a stray from NYC. He now lives in Harleysville PA.

Herbie James - Hi, folks! My name is Herbie. I am a male, red brushcoat and I am about 2 years old. I was a stray and was rescued from a shelter in NYC. Boy, have I had my problems! I had an injured eye and back leg. The nice people at O.S. took immediate action when I arrived. It was not long before I was getting an exam and then went right to surgery. I had to have my eye removed. I really don’t mind because now it does not hurt and I could not see out of it anyway. My right kneecap is permanently dislocated from an old injury. The doctor said that there is really nothing that can be done to fix it. I cannot bend my knee but it does not hurt. I am really not complaining about my problems because I feel very lucky that I was rescued by O.S. The nice volunteers told me that I am cute and very pleasant. They also told me that I will not have a problem finding a very good home. I like everyone and my tail is always wagging. I must tell you that I do have limitations. I cannot run and jump because of my knee. I would not be able to jog either. My life will consist of taking it easy and not running, leaping and jumping. If you like to watch lots of TV, I would be the perfect dog. If you like to sit and read books, I would be the perfect dog. If you like to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air, I would be the perfect dog. I am a really good boy. I am crate trained and housebroken. If you would like a very nice canine friend and companion, I would be the one for you as long as you don’t mind the fact that I have an eye missing and one gimpy leg. I have lots and lots of love to give to the right person. If you would like to know more about me, get in touch with O.S. I am really anxious to find a really nice human friend who will love me a lot.
Hershey - Hi, everyone! My name is Hershey. I am barely one year old and I am a male, black brushcoat. I came from a shelter in Maryland and was a stray. I don't like being homeless. I am a very happy boy with a wonderful personality. I really need to give my love to a family who will give me good care! I have a cute round face and I overheard the people at the rescue saying "Boy, is he a cutey. He won't last long." I sure hope that is true because I am ready to have fun with a new family. Don't delay. Get in touch with O.S. and ask for Hershey. I am sitting here anxiously waiting for the phone to ring.
Holly II - Female, chocolate brushcoat mix.  Holly was rescued along with her brother, sister and mom from a shelter in Lancaster, PA in 2000. Holly and her brother and sister were only eight weeks old.  Her mommy is Eve pictured on the adopted page. Holly and her mom are enjoying a new and happy life with six other Shar-Pei in Chambersburg, PA.  Thank you Janice and Wil for once again opening your hearts and home to not only Holly but her mom, Eve, as well.  They are very lucky to have you as their mom and dad.
Holly - Hi. My name is Holly. I am a very shy, 3 year old, female, sable brushcoat. I know. I know. I have big ears, but I gotta tell you, I DON’T get ear infections, so there is something to be said about that! I came from a puppy mill in PA. The place was closing down and I needed to get out like right away. O.S. was on the road within hours after the call came through. In fact, I was riding in a car with Shelties because Sheltie rescue went in and scooped me up along with the Shelties. I am really surprised to see just how big the world is. I thought it was just as big as the kennel I was living in. I am very gentle and patient and kind. Once I get over my shyness, I am a very sweet affectionate girl. I was told I will not have to produce any more puppies, so I guess I am now officially retired. I was told that the rescue is going to find a really good home for me with a family that will love me and give me lots of good care. I might even have my own bed. That is something I have always wanted. My very own, comfy, warm, soft bed. Oh, my gosh! Guess what! I have just been chosen. I am just so excited. I gotta go now. Thanks for listening to my story. Oh, boy, will I ever have sweet dreams tonight. It will be all about my new family, my new home, and my NEW BED!!!!
Honey Pie - Hi! My name is Honey Pie and I really am a Honey. I am a female, chocolate horsecoat and I am between two and three years old. I was a stray and came from a shelter in PA. I really like meeting people and I am very playful. Unfortunately, I really do not care for dogs or cats.
Hooch III aka King - Male, fawn horsecoat.  Hooch was rescued from a shelter in NYC in 2000.  He is now having a grand time enjoying his new life in Madison, PA.  Thank you Lori and Barry for driving the distance to meet Hooch and then offering him a home and your love.  He will always be grateful to you for giving him a second chance.
Hoover – Hi! My name is Hoover. I am a two year old, male, fawn horsecoat. I was one of the four Shar-Pei that was rescued from a shelter in West Virginia.
Hoppy - Male, red brushcoat. He is deaf. He had the surgical procedure done to remove the ear canals. Like Mishka had done. He came from the shelter in Brooklyn. Owner surrender.
Humphrey - Jennifer, Scranton, PA
Ice - Male, cream brushcoat. His owners moved from Glouchester, NJ. His new home is with Patrick and Deb in New Providence, PA.

Ivy II - Hello. My name is Ivy. I am between 2 and 3 years of age and I am a black brushcoat. I am one of the 21 Shar-Pei that was taken from a condemned home. I had entropion (rolling in of the eyelids) and it was not medically treated. Therefore, I am now blind. It was very painful and I was no longer able to even open my eyes, so I walked around with my eyes closed in order to tolerate the discomfort. Now that I am at the rescue I have gotten the required surgery so that I am no longer in pain, but I will never regain my vision. I am very sweet and I really want to find a family who will love me and give me the care I am so deserving of. I can find my way around pretty good as long as things are not rearranged. I promise to be a very good girl if given the chance to find my forever home..

Izzy  - Izzy has been enjoying a life of leisure with her adoptive parents since 1996.  She is doing just fine and could not be any happier.  Thank you Jean and Scott for giving Izzy a super life.  Not only have you offered a wonderful home to Izzy, but to five other homeless Pei as well over the past eleven years. All at O.S. send our heartfelt gratitude for what you have done for Scarlet’s kids
J. Lo - Hi! My name is J. Lo. I came from Manhattan and had it kind of tough. I was taken to a shelter in NYC because my owner was incarcerated.
Jackie – Hello. My name is Jackie. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am between 8 and 10 years old and I am a sable brushcoat. I came from the same place that Holly and Becky came from. All of us are very shy because we never had a chance to do fun things and meet people. We were busy having puppies and caring for them. I am slowly getting used to being out of a kennel and I enjoy lying outside watching all the interesting things in this world. I was afraid of a car at first, but now I actually look forward to a car ride. I did not know what toys were because I never had any to play with. I am starting to do play bows and that really pleases my foster mom. There is so much to see and do in this big wide world. I am just taking my time and enjoying each and every day for it is all a brand new adventure for me. I am shy, sweet and very well behaved. Thank you for allowing me to share my story with you. - Jackie
Jade II - Hi. My name is Jade. I am one of Grace's kids and was with the 21 dogs that was removed from a condemned house. I am now about 11 weeks old and I am a female cream brushcoat.
Jasmine III – Hello. My name is Jasmine. I had been rescued by O.S. in 2001 and was adopted by a very nice family. They had a baby who I liked a lot – I just love children! I thought all my worries were over because I had a family again. Well, several months ago I had to return to O.S. My family moved and the new landlord said “No, dogs”! My heart was absolutely broken. I am a very good girl and I am playful and like to have lots of fun. I have a very sweet temperament and love to meet people. Everyone is my friend! I am a happy dog, but what would make me even happier would be to find a loving family again that will keep me “forever”. If you are looking for a very fun loving dog, give O.S. a call and ask for me, Jasmine. I will be jumping for joy if I hear that someone wants to meet me.
Jed - Hi, folks. My name is Jed. I am approximately 2 years old and I am a black brushcoat. I am very handsome and quite friendly. I also like the companionship of other dogs. I along with 20 other Shar-Pei were rescued by Operation Scarlet. We were taken from a condemned house. All of us are in need of lots of love and good care. Give a call to the rescue if you would be interested in helping us find good homes.
Jet - Male, black horsecoat. Jet came from the Chester County SPCA in PA in 1991.  He was the third dog that was rescued by O.S.  He was just a puppy when he was rescued and he has been living an absolutely perfect life in New Providence, PA.  Thank you so much Debbie and Pat for giving Jet a wonderful home.
Jetta - Hello, everyone! My name is Jetta. I am about three years old and I am a female, black brushcoat. I am very petite and I have a very nice coat and a super personality. I was a stray and came from a shelter in New York City.
Joe Joe - Male, red horsecoat. He is an owner surrender because the landlord would not allow a dog. From NYC shelter in Manhattan.
Joon - Hi, folks. My name is Joon and everyone says I am absolutley adorable. I am about 1 1/2 years old and I am an apricot dilute brushcoat. I was very frightened when I arrived at the rescue and was very glad that my friend, Benny, was with me. Now that I have settled in I give everyone kisses. Benny and I lived in New Jersey and were given up by our owners. They did not even give a reason for abandoning us! I sure hope the next family that adopts me will appreciate me more. I promise to be a very loyal and devoted friend. I like to play and take walks. My passion is dog biscuits - boy, are they yummy!! I am patiently waiting for that special person to come to the rescue and adopt me. I can hardly wait to have a home and family again. Give a call and ask for Joon!
Julie - Hello. My name is Julie. I am a one year old, very sweet shaded black brushcoat. I was a stray and the nice people at Operation Scarlet came to my rescue. I did not like running the streets and sleeping outside at night. My wish would be to find a family who will love me and appreciate my devotion and loyalty. I really would like to find a "forever home". If given the chance, I promise to be a very good girl. Just give a call and ask for Julie.

Junipher - Hello. My name is Junipher. I am a female, fawn brushcoat and I am about 4 years old. I along with my best friend Kobe who is also pictured on this page were rescued from a shelter in PA. Our owners unfortunately took us both to the shelter because they were having another baby. Kobe and I thought we were their babies too, but I guess we were wrong. We are now at Operation Scarlet patiently waiting to find another home in hopes that it will be a permanent home this time. I am a very nice girl with a wonderful temperament and I really love to play. Kobe and I like to run around the yard together. If you are in search of a really nice, well behaved dog, please call Operation Scarlet and ask for me, Junipher. If by chance you are looking to adopt two dogs, then please do ask for Kobe too. He is my best buddy. Bye for now, Junipher.
