Whee-Zee - Hi. My name is Whee-Zee. I am a female, black brushcoat and I am about 3 years old.  I came from a rescue in New Jersey. I was taken away from my family by the authorities because they kept forgetting to give me food and water. To make matters even worse, I was kept outside without any shelter. A very nice lady heard about my dilemma and drove me to Operation Scarlet.  It is true that I do not care for other dogs, but I really love people and just adore children. I am very friendly and playful. If you are looking for a very alert, fun loving dog with lots of enthusiasm and energy, then give the rescue a call and ask for me, Whee-Zee. We could have really great times together!

Wilbur aka Rambo- Male, red brushcoat.  Rambo came from a shelter in Erie, PA in 1998.  Wilbur is a very lucky boy because he knows he has found his "forever home" in Reading, PA.  Thank you Jerry and Karen for again opening your hearts and your home to a Shar-Pei in need of love and good care.

Willie - Hi there! My name is Willie. I am a very happy and friendly boy. I am only 10 months old and I am a fawn brushcoat. I was taken to O.S. by a family member. My owner was not able to care for me and the family member was very concerned about my welfare. She did not want me to go to a shelter. I am a very friendly and easy going boy so the adjustment from home to Operation Scarlet went very well. I have lots of fun at the rescue. There are lots of other Shar-Pei to spend my time with. We go for walks. Boy, do I like those walks! After the walk I get a treat and guess what? Last weekend we all got an ice cream treat. That was really yummy. Now I am waiting patiently to be chosen. Everyone says I am really cute. I like children and other dogs. Actually there isn't anything that I really don't like. I am even a good boy for my vet exams. If you think you would like a very happy, playful Shar-Pei, then get in touch with O.S. and ask for me, Willie!
Wink - Hi, folks! My name is Wink. If you are wondering how I got that name, it is because my eyes were so bad when I was rescued that I could only open one of them. Therefore, it looked like I was winking at everyone! I can joke about it now because I have had my surgery and I am feeling much, much better. I am a male, fawn brushcoat and a pretty big and sturdy boy. I am approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years old and I am a very friendly guy. I love lots of attention and I never turn down a hug. I came from a shelter in PA and had been picked up as a stray. I was really wishing for a very nice family to call my own and guess what? While I was recuperating from my eye surgery, a very nice lady visited the rescue and she liked me right away. I have been CHOSEN!! All I need to do is recuperate from my surgery and I am on my way to a new life with a wonderful family.

Winnie II Winnie II - Female, black brushcoat. Winnie was an owner surrender from New Jersey in 2000. She is now living in East Stroudsburg, PA. Thank you Steve and Pat for giving her a second chance.
Winston - Male, fawn horsecoat, not sure of age. He was a stray from NYC shelter in Manhattan, and is now living in Quarryville, PA.

Wrink aka Shayne - Hi, my name is Shayne.  I am approximately 3 to 4 years of age and I am a very friendly boy.  I was a stray and came from a shelter in New Jersey.  I love to play and I enjoy meeting new people.  I am fine with other dogs, but please, NO CATS.  I am wishing for a family who will give me lots of love.  I would be a really happy boy if someone would adopt me.  I have so much love to give, so please call.  I will be anxiously waiting to meet you!!

Wrinkles

Wrinkles - Male, horsecoat. He is from Georgia where he was a private surrender, and he now lives in Lancaster. By the way, he came to us with his name. We didn't give it to him, honest.
Wrinkles VI-  Male, black brush coat and is approximately 2 years old. He came from North Carolina and had been given up by his family who could not care for him. He presently has demodectic mange, but is receiving dips and is responding. He will be a beautiful dog once he begins to sprout hair. He is very sweet and is very co-operative with his vet exams and dips. Thank you Beth for driving the distance from NC to save this little guy. Also, thanks to Sara and Diane who were a part of the transport team.
Wrinkles VIII - Hi! My name is Wrinkles. I was rescued along with my dad and two half brothers. The man we were living with said he was being evicted – whatever that means. What it means to me is that my dad and brothers and I lost our home. We were very, very scared when the people came to the house and started putting us in their car. I told my dad that I was really scared and he just said, “Don’t worry, son, it will be ok. I have heard of rescues and these nice people will take real good care of us. My family has been divided up and I don’t get to see my dad anymore. I hear he is having a wonderful time in his new home because he has lots of dogs to run with. I am still waiting patiently to be chosen. I am no longer shy or scared. I now run and play and I even learned to walk on leash. That was new to me. I never had a collar or leash on. Now I go for walks, eat dog biscuits and talk long naps dreaming of my new family. “New family”. Boy, that does sound nice. If you think I might be the dog of your dreams, please call O.S. and ask for me, Wrinkles.
Wrinkles IX – Hello. My name is Wrinkles. I came from a shelter in New York state. I am a female, apricot dilute horsecoat and I am approximately 5 years old. I was surrendered by my owners. I heard the shelter people saying that I was an abuse case. I have scars on my body and there was an attempt made at cutting off my tail. Anyway, I would prefer to not have to talk about that. I am a bit shy when meeting people, but I warm up quickly as soon as I know that I will be treated kindly. I would like to have a very loving and quiet home where I can just enjoy each and every day. If you think you could offer that kind of life to me, I would be ever so grateful. I am not a demanding dog. I am crate trained and housebroken and I just like to quietly lie down by your feet. Please get in touch with O.S. if you would like to have me as your loyal friend and companion.
Wrinkles Ruby - Hi folks!  WOWEEE!!!!  I can’t believe that my picture will be on a web site!  I am so excited.  Ok, here goes.  I hope I remember to tell you everything because I really talk pretty fast.  I am a one year old, female, five point red brushcoat.  I am told five point reds are not that common, so I feel really, really special.  I was dropped off by my owner at a vet clinic in northern PA.  Please don’t be too critical of my owner.  She loved me a lot, but she suddenly ran into some really bad times.  She has 12 children.  Therefore, need I say more about experience with kids?  They are ok.  Actually they were lots of fun.  She also had three other dogs and I liked them a lot too.  Her husband died very suddenly and entire household was in turmoil.  That is why I need a home.  I am a very good girl.  Super friendly,  Playful. Crate trained. Housebroken.  And most importantly – in need of LOTS OF LOVE.  I am ready and waiting for that very special family to say – “Wrinkles Ruby, We Want You!!!
Wyatt - Howdy folks. My name is Wyatt and I am one of the 21 Shar-Pei rescued from a condemned home. I am between one and 1 1/2 years old and I am a fawn horsecoat. I weigh in at a mere 18 pounds because I am a mini Pei. I am very good buddies with little Merlin who is on the web page too. Merlin and I would like to find a very loving family who would take both of us. We like to stay very close in the same kennel and we like taking walks together too. If you are looking for two cute little dogs to give a wonderful home to, please get in touch with the people at O.S. and ask for me, Wyatt. Merlin and I will be anxiously awaiting a call.
Xavier - Male, chocolate horsecoat. Xavier was an owner surrender. He is from Ohio and arrived in 2001. Xavier is now living very happily in Lancaster, PA. Thank you Karen for reaching out again to offer your love to another homeless Shar-Pei in need.
Yardley - Female, black brushcoat, 3 yrs old. Private surrender. Owner moved out of area to go to school. She is currently living in York New Salem, PA.
Yogi Bear II aka Klondike - Male, cream bearcoat.  Yogi Bear was rescued from a shelter in Maryland in 2002.  He is a very lucky boy  because he now has an excellent home in Collegeville, PA.  Denise, many thanks to you from O.S. for offering your home and all your love to Yogi.  You made him one very happy boy and in return he will always remain your devoted friend.
Yoko – Hello, my name is Yoko. I am a six year old, female, black brushcoat.

Zach - Hello, all you nice people. My name is Zach. I am about 3 years old, and I am a red brushcoat. I was rescued from a shelter in NJ. Everyone says I am very handsome. I am also very well behaved. I was a stray and found out very quickly that it is not very much fun to be homeless. If you are looking for a loyal friend, please get in touch with O.S. and ask for me - Zach. I promise to be your very best buddy.

Zeus III - Hi! My name is Zeus. I am a black male horsecoat mix and I am about 2 years old. I have probably some hound in me because I do not bark, I give a low, slow howl. It sounds like I am baying at the moon! All the volunteers think I am absolutely adorable. I am a very good boy. I love people a lot and I am very gentle. I came from a shelter in upstate New York. My owners abandoned me at the shelter because they were moving. I tried to tell them that other states accept dogs too, but they just would not listen to me. If you are looking for a loyal and true friend, I am the dog for you. Just give O.S. a call and ask for me, Zeus.

Zoey - My name is Zoey and I was just taken to Operation Scarlet by my family.   I am very nervous and am wondering why my people took me to the rescue.  I heard them say they were moving to Texas.  I sure wish I could have gone with them.  I am seven years old and I am a very good girl.  I hope I get a second chance at giving my love and devotion to another family who will love me and make me their "forever dog".
